We are a well respected distributor of PCB surface mount assembly and associated inspection equipment, primarily supplying to the UK electronics market, representing a number of world leading equipment manufacturers.
We wish to recruit a Field Service Engineer with a proven electrical / mechanical engineering background. This position will suit a proactive hard working individual who has good attention to detail, ideally has SMT / AOI field service and customer facing experience. We will however be open to consider individuals with other complementary experiences. They will be required to and be capable of performing equipment installation, customer training, fault finding, repair and ongoing customer support remotely and on customer sites. Being able to demonstrate fault finding capabilities will be a distinct advantage.
The Field Service Engineer will be a multi-skilled electrical / mechanical engineer with a good knowledge of electro-mechanics; having knowledge of SIPLACE Pro software and being able to demonstrate a good understanding of the PCB assembly process and computer literacy will be a distinct advantage. You MUST have the ability and desire to travel within the UK and from time to time overseas – staying away as required, extensive travel is to be expected in this role.
Ideally located within commuting distance of Southampton; covering the UK, however location will not necessarily be a limitation for the right person.
You must be able to work on your own initiative with the people skills to enable working relationships to be built with existing and new customers at all levels. Full UK driving licence and passport are essential.
Remuneration will consist of a base salary, commission, car allowance, laptop, phone; specialist tools will also be provided, along with product training where required.
